Extending the principals of magnified drag occurring near the top of the wheel as taught by the AEROCROSS™ wheels with SPOKE FINS™, it becomes apparent that reducing drag on the spokes of racing bicycles in windy competitive events where SPOKE FINS™ are not permitted is also warranted. The continuously tapered aero spoke design minimizes drag on only the uppermost portion of the wheel in both headwinds and crosswinds (where typical bladed aero spokes actually increase drag).
